About the Role

You will develop active and passive thermal-management systems for robotic hands. You will perform thermal analysis, build and instrument prototypes, test and validate designs, optimize system performance, and integrate thermal solutions with mechanical and electrical hardware.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related discipline
• 2+ years of experience designing active and passive thermal-management systems
• Heat transfer and first-principles thermal analysis
• Thermal experiment planning, instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis
• Mechanical hardware prototyping and testing
• 3D CAD software
• Mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and electromechanical systems
• Engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and engineering change documentation

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize active and passive thermal-management systems
• Use thermal analysis, experimental data, and simulation results to optimize designs
• Build and instrument prototypes and thermal test setups
• Develop thermal architectures across motors, electronics, structures, and materials
• Correlate simulation models with physical test data
• Integrate thermal solutions within packaging, structural, electrical, and manufacturing constraints
