About the Role

You will lead health, safety, and environmental programs for hyperscale data center construction projects. You will oversee high-risk site activities, manage contractor safety performance, track incidents and leading indicators, guide electrical commissioning safety, audit safety programs, lead safety meetings, and maintain emergency response procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction safety
  • Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification or OSHA 510
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
  • Deep working knowledge of OSHA construction regulations and NFPA 70E
  • Ability to influence site leadership and manage safety performance under aggressive project timelines
  • Ability to work full-time on active construction sites, walk long distances, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Participation in a drug and alcohol program

Responsibilities

  • Own site-wide health, safety, and environmental programs for hyperscale data center construction projects
  • Perform daily walkthroughs of high-risk activities including trenching, crane operations, scaffolding, and heavy equipment
  • Partner with prime contractors to implement safety programs and deliver required materials
  • Track and report incident rates, near misses, and leading safety indicators
  • Lead safety oversight during transitions to live power environments
  • Audit prime contractor safety programs and lead weekly safety leadership meetings
  • Establish and maintain emergency response plans, evacuation routes, and medical response procedures
