About the Role

You perform field installations, maintenance, tower-top activities, and rigging work across towers, masts, monopoles, rooftops, and other structures. You maintain safety documentation and equipment readiness, terminate RF and fiber connections, manage tools and inventory, coordinate logistics, and provide accurate field reporting while working at heights and traveling to remote sites.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of field experience climbing towers and performing installations as a Tower Hand
  • Experience with monopoles, guyed towers, SSTs, rooftops, and water tanks
  • NWSA TTT-1 certification preferred
  • Tower Rescue certification preferred
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
  • OSHA-10 certification minimum
  • Tower rigging and fall-protection systems knowledge
  • RF and fiber termination experience
  • AC/DC electrical fundamentals
  • Grounding and bonding knowledge
  • Multimeter diagnostic skills
  • Vehicle, trailer, and aerial lift operation experience
  • Basic preventive maintenance experience
  • Ability to work 50-55 hours per week
  • Ability to work at heights of 50-500 feet AGL
  • Ability to work variable evening and weekend schedules

Responsibilities

  • Execute tower-top and rigging tasks
  • Complete and submit a Jobsite Hazard Assessment for every assignment
  • Escalate safety issues to the Field Operations Manager
  • Deploy and maintain rigging and access solutions
  • Perform RF and fiber terminations
  • Maintain work trucks, tools, rigging, and consumables
  • Conduct pre-shift equipment checks
  • Control shop and truck inventory
  • Handle shipping, receiving, and restocking
  • Update inventory records
  • Provide field feedback to improve procedures and tooling
  • Participate in team training and knowledge sharing
  • Book lodging and schedule training
  • Coordinate periodic truck maintenance
