About the Role
You will lead two annual gBETA Gulf Coast accelerator cohorts, recruit and select startup participants, and manage program logistics. You will coach founders, connect them with mentors and investors, track and report startup and program metrics, manage partner relationships, and represent the startup community across the Gulf Coast.
Requirements
- Residence in or relocation to Mobile, Alabama
- Commitment to Alabama's startup ecosystem and entrepreneurship
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and responsibilities
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to learn about industries, startups, and venture capital
- Availability for occasional nights and weekends
- Willingness to travel occasionally around the region
Responsibilities
- Recruit startup applicants and lead selection for two cohorts
- Build relationships with mentors, investors, and ecosystem partners
- Schedule and attend office hours with startups
- Run two accelerator programs per year
- Manage program logistics and operational success
- Ensure program KPIs are met
- Coach participating founders and provide structured one-to-one guidance
- Connect founders with mentors, investors, customers, and ecosystem resources
- Support program alumni
- Gather, track, analyze, and report program and startup metrics
- Manage relationships with gBETA program partners and provide weekly updates
- Build the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Mobile and across the Gulf Coast
- Represent the South Alabama and Gulf Coast startup community at events
- Support broader accelerator programs and strategic initiatives
