About the Role
You will set the strategic and operational direction for an AIxBio research fellowship. You will design program structures, manage research managers, recruit and support mentors, assess program outcomes, and build relationships with biosecurity and AI research partners.
Requirements
- Meaningful experience in biosecurity, AI, or their intersection
- Ability to build programs amid ambiguity
- Experience building relationships with senior researchers and institutional partners
- Program design and operational strategy experience
- Strong written, presentation, and feedback skills
- Experience managing or mentoring others
- Commitment to addressing biosecurity risks from AI
- U.S. work authorization
Responsibilities
- Own the strategic vision and continuous improvement of the AIxBio Research Fellowship
- Design the fellowship from selection through stakeholder-informed program design
- Design mentor matching, selection criteria, research-goal frameworks, and cohort programming
- Develop evaluation frameworks for fellow outcomes and program effectiveness
- Identify opportunities in the Cambridge biosecurity research ecosystem
- Coordinate with program leadership on cross-program coherence and resources
- Manage AIxBio Research Managers
- Recruit, onboard, and maintain relationships with mentors
- Maintain relationships with program partners
- Serve as the primary mentor contact during fellowship cycles
