About the Role
You will set strategy and execute major areas of a catalytic-deployments portfolio. You will source and assess funding opportunities, manage grants, launch initiatives, engage external stakeholders, develop investment recommendations, and help establish the team’s operating model.
Requirements
- 10+ years of leadership experience in nonprofits, philanthropy, or government
- Experience building and scaling large social-sector initiatives
- Experience sourcing, assessing, and structuring grants
- Expertise in a social-sector domain
- Ability to assess AI capabilities, implementation constraints, organizational readiness, and deployment risks
- Experience evaluating opportunities and making recommendations
- Experience engaging senior external stakeholders
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategy and prioritization for Catalytic Deployments
- Source, evaluate, and recommend grants and funding opportunities
- Conduct diligence on organizations, projects, and leaders
- Design and manage a portfolio of grants
- Manage Catalytic Deployments team members as the organization grows
- Engage researchers, nonprofits, academic centers, funders, and potential grantees
- Identify ecosystem gaps and develop new partnerships or field-building initiatives
- Launch new initiatives and convene stakeholders
- Write internal recommendations and strategy memos
- Use frontier AI to support program work
