About the Role
You will lead the planning, design, and coordination of mission-critical data center projects from site selection through construction and commissioning. You will manage consultants, coordinate multidisciplinary stakeholders, review technical deliverables, manage risks and schedules, and support procurement, commissioning, and operational turnover.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience managing complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical design projects
- Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams for critical infrastructure projects
- Understanding of MEP systems and mission-critical infrastructure
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
- Communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of design management for hyperscale and AI data center developments
- Manage architectural and engineering consultants through design and permitting
- Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications disciplines
- Conduct constructability reviews and value-engineering exercises
- Review and approve drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and design changes
- Drive design schedules and monitor consultant deliverables
- Ensure compliance with building codes, industry standards, and mission-critical design requirements
- Validate technical specifications for long-lead equipment procurement
- Support standardized programs, processes, standards, workflows, templates, and governance
- Participate in commissioning planning and operational turnover
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Present project updates and design recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
