About the Role
You will own the sample-to-sequence production pipeline from DNA extraction through library preparation and sequencing dispatch. You will translate R&D protocols into scalable workflows, improve throughput and quality, monitor pipeline health, lead laboratory operations, and assess new sequencing and automation technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a high-throughput sequencing production environment
- Experience leading a small team to deliver work on time
- Knowledge of Illumina, Ultima, PacBio, and Nanopore sequencing platforms
- Experience with end-to-end library preparation workflows
- Experience applying Lean or Six Sigma in laboratory production
- Experience with laboratory automation and liquid-handling workflows
- Experience managing production schedules and resource allocation
- Experience with LIMS platforms such as Benchling
- Experience with technical transfer and SOP writing
- Ability to work with bioinformatics, data science, and collaboration teams
Responsibilities
- Manage the Trillion Gene Atlas production pipeline from DNA extraction through sequencing dispatch
- Transfer validated R&D protocols into scalable production workflows
- Improve turnaround times, reduce variability, and increase throughput using Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Monitor sequencing data inputs, pipeline health, and production metrics
- Lead daily workflows, schedules, resource allocation, and development for the laboratory production team
- Evaluate and implement sequencing, automation, and workflow technologies
