About the Role
You will translate internal business needs into hardware specifications and guide product development with suppliers. You will manage component lifecycle risks, BOM changes, supply planning, certification coordination, supplier performance, corrective actions, and non-conforming-unit investigations.
Requirements
- 3–6 years of experience in hardware product management, product engineering, or strategic sourcing
- Experience working with OEM and ODM suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience in component lifecycle management and BOM analysis
- Ability to translate business needs into technical hardware requirements
- Understanding of hardware manufacturing processes and quality control
- Familiarity with international hardware compliance and certification frameworks
- Professional English proficiency
- Experience in robotics, industrial automation, or high-tech hardware
- Experience with cost modeling and supplier contract negotiation
- Knowledge of CE and FCC regulatory compliance
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate ODM and OEM partners
- Gather and clarify product requirements from internal stakeholders
- Translate business and technical requirements into supplier specifications
- Source products and solutions based on cost, performance, and compliance needs
- Monitor component lifecycles and identify obsolescence risks
- Evaluate EOL and PCN impacts on product BOMs
- Lead lifecycle-risk mitigation actions
- Manage and release PCNs
- Identify long lead-time components and coordinate supply-risk planning
- Review project deliverables against requirements, specifications, and timelines
- Coordinate testing laboratories and certification bodies
- Assess supplier performance
- Review supplier non-conformance reports and corrective actions
- Coordinate investigations and resolution of non-conforming units
