About the Role
You will oversee product governance across approval, launch, monitoring, review, and maintenance. You will maintain governance processes and reporting, produce product MI, manage product risks, and translate regulatory requirements into practical guidance. You will also support disclosures, risk warnings, senior governance materials, and product-manager training.
Requirements
- Experience designing, operating, or overseeing product governance frameworks in a UK FCA-regulated financial services firm.
- Knowledge of Consumer Duty, PROD, and UK MiFID II requirements.
- Experience with new product approval and annual product review processes.
- Experience producing management information and materials for senior committees or board reporting.
- Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical product guidance.
- Written communication and escalation judgement.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve the new product approval process.
- Ensure effective governance across the product lifecycle.
- Establish product management information covering performance, service, complaints, incidents, target-market alignment, and fair value.
- Identify, escalate, track, and resolve product risks and control weaknesses.
- Maintain product governance policy, processes, controls, and reporting.
- Run and document annual product reviews.
- Support product disclosures, risk warnings, and customer communications.
- Review products and changes before launch for required regulatory communications.
- Connect Product with Compliance, Legal, and Risk.
- Train product managers on governance requirements.
- Prepare materials for senior governance committees.
