About the Role
You'll play a key role in ensuring all purchasing activities strictly adhere to procurement policies while reporting directly to the Procurement Manager. You'll support procurement needs across departments, help identify and build relationships with reliable suppliers, and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of goods and services. You'll also manage procurement operations in Mali, a key market, contributing directly to operational excellence across the region.
Requirements
- Fluency in both English and French.
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in procurement.
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Administration, Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Logistics.
- Experience in financial sector is a plus.
- An experience including accounting & team management.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all purchasing activities, ensuring full compliance with procurement policies.
- Train and support internal teams on procurement policy awareness and best practices.
- Collaborate with departments to develop procurement plans based on approved budgets.
- Coordinate import logistics and documentation with freight forwarders.
- Prepare and launch RFQs based on departmental needs.
- Identify, assess, and maintain a strong base of pre-approved suppliers.
- Analyze and compare offers, draft selection reports, and support vendor negotiations.
- Manage purchase orders and monitor the procurement workflow for timely execution.
- Track deliveries and ensure payments are made in line with contract terms.
- Keep accurate records of all procurement activities and provide regular reports.
- Maintain and track inventory, conducting regular counts and preparing related reports.
- Perform any additional procurement-related tasks as assigned by the Procurement Manager.
