About the Role
You will design and develop real-time perception software for automated forklift and loading dock systems. You will troubleshoot performance issues, scope projects, guide technical roadmaps, mentor engineers, represent engineering with program stakeholders, and uphold software quality standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- At least 10 years of professional experience developing software for complex real-time systems
- Deep robotics-perception expertise in SLAM, sensor fusion, state estimation, computer vision, and real-time camera or LiDAR processing
- Experience delivering reliable production robotic systems
- Experience leading complex engineering efforts
- Experience mentoring engineers
- Experience with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD tools
- Experience with asynchronous or multithreaded programming
- Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging systems, and protocols such as ROS or ROS2
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- Willingness to work extensively from Austin, Texas
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 10%
