About the Role

You will develop sourcing plans for each site, prequalify subcontractors, run competitive bids, negotiate subcontracts, and monitor trade capacity. You will review changes, payments, and claims, then evaluate partners to reduce project risk and improve cash-flow timing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in subcontract buyout, procurement, or contracts management on large capital projects
  • Experience leveling trade bids and negotiating subcontracts across multiple trade scopes
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications and identify scope gaps
  • Knowledge of trade labor markets, including union and open-shop dynamics
  • Data center or mission-critical project experience preferred
  • General contractor-side buyout experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or Odoo preferred

Responsibilities

  • Build subtrade sourcing plans, package strategies, bidder lists, and buyout schedules
  • Map and prequalify subtrade partners based on capacity, safety, bonding, financial health, manpower, and project history
  • Write scope sheets, run competitive bids, and identify scope gaps
  • Negotiate subcontracts, labor rates, unit rates, escalation, and manpower commitments
  • Track trade capacity and competing projects and escalate schedule risks
  • Review change orders, time-and-material tickets, claims, and payments
  • Evaluate subtrade partners and recommend risk and cash-flow improvements
