About the Role
You will own end-to-end architectural decisions for developer-platform features, from implementation and safe release through long-term support. You will lead multi-quarter initiatives, set success criteria, make trade-offs, mentor engineers, and shape technical strategy with leadership. You will operate and improve systems using data, guide AI-tool adoption, and anticipate scalable solutions for future technical challenges.
Requirements
- At least seven years of software engineering experience, including two to three years at senior or staff level
- Experience building and operating developer platforms, CI/CD systems, observability or metrics infrastructure, code-quality automation, testing infrastructure, or developer tooling
- Experience shipping infrastructure or tooling that improved developer velocity or reduced cognitive load
- Experience leading adoption of AI-powered developer tools or capabilities across an engineering organization
- Experience in a high-performing engineering organization
- Experience integrating third-party APIs, SaaS tools, or external platforms into internal systems with attention to reliability, security, and user experience
- Experience owning large technical areas end to end
Responsibilities
- Own architectural decisions for how features are built, safely released, and supported long term
- Mentor engineers through code review and design partnership
- Lead multi-quarter projects and break complex problems into iterative milestones
- Define success criteria, make trade-offs, and escalate when appropriate
- Partner with leadership on roadmap and technical strategy
- Own the operational health of systems and use data to guide iteration, maintenance, and deprecation
- Set the technical direction for the area and anticipate long-term technical challenges
