About the Role
You will improve the infrastructure, tooling, automation, and processes that help Platform Engineering teams build, test, release, observe, and debug software confidently. You will work hands-on in code, evolve CI/CD and testing systems, improve observability and test environments, and turn recurring engineering pain points into durable tools and documentation.
Requirements
- 7+ years writing production software
- Strong ability in Go and/or Rust
- Experience working in large legacy codebases with multiple teams and shared ownership boundaries
- Experience building or significantly improving developer infrastructure, CI/CD, test infrastructure, observability, release tooling, or comparable engineering productivity systems
- Strong testing discipline and ability to diagnose and relieve bottlenecks
- Working fluency with Linux, containers, and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience operating at Staff scope
Responsibilities
- Partner with Platform Engineering teams to identify development, testing, release, observability, and debugging improvements
- Evolve CI/CD pipelines using Bazel and GitHub Actions
- Improve provisioning, inspection, comparison, and retirement of test environments
- Evolve observability infrastructure to identify regressions and improvements
- Improve resilience through end-to-end testing, fuzzing, chaos engineering, and failure-oriented test design
- Turn recurring pain points into tools, automation, and documentation
- Debug flaky tests, improve release checks, review tool adoption, and improve documentation
