About the Role
You will design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure, applications, and tooling for software-defined manufacturing. You will build foundational systems across the software stack, write maintainable code, review peers’ code, document your work, and collaborate across teams. You will investigate design approaches, prototype technology, evaluate feasibility, and improve frameworks and infrastructure based on field use.
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools and GitOps workflows
- Deep knowledge of self-hosted and managed Kubernetes and modern Kubernetes paradigms
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
- Familiarity with observability stacks, including Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure, applications, and tooling
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code reviews
- Write clear documentation and share knowledge across teams
- Investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
- Collaborate with adjacent teams to improve frameworks and infrastructure
