About the Role
You will lead engineering oversight for gas supply pipelines, regulator stations, and fuel-gas distribution. You will review designs, support construction and commissioning, manage EPC and midstream providers, maintain compliance programs, and develop pipeline engineering capability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of natural gas pipeline engineering, construction, or operations experience
- Working knowledge of 49 CFR 192, ASME B31.8, API standards, and PHMSA enforcement practice
- Experience with gathering, transmission, or large industrial fuel-gas systems
- Ability to manage EPC contractors and external engineering firms
- Ability to be Houston-based and travel to Mason County, West Virginia as required
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering oversight for gas pipelines, regulator stations, and fuel-gas distribution
- Review and approve design deliverables
- Drive route selection, hydraulic analysis, MAOP determinations, and integrity planning
- Support construction, testing, tie-ins, and commissioning
- Manage interfaces with midstream pipeline operators
- Lead QA/QC programs and resolve field technical issues
- Ensure pipeline regulatory compliance
- Develop operating procedures, emergency response plans, and SCADA integration
- Manage pipeline EPC providers, budgets, schedules, and change orders
- Build in-house pipeline engineering capability
