About the Role
You will engineer relaying schemes for campus power systems from generation through distribution. You will develop and manage relay settings and coordination studies, design protection and controls architecture, integrate communications and SCADA, and support commissioning, testing, and misoperation investigations.
Requirements
- Experience with protection engineering, relay settings, and coordination for medium- and high-voltage systems
- Hands-on experience developing settings for SEL or equivalent platforms
- Experience commissioning protection schemes
- Experience investigating relay operations using event records
- Generator protection
- IEC 61850
- Communications-assisted scheme
- NERC PRC
- Arc-flash mitigation scheme
Responsibilities
- Engineer protection and controls for campus power systems
- Develop, verify, and configuration-manage coordination studies and relay files
- Design relays, communications, and SCADA integration for the protection and controls architecture
- Support commissioning by loading settings, testing functions, and investigating misoperations
