About the Role
You will lead the development of reliable, scalable, and efficient electrical power architectures for high-density, liquid-cooled AI data centers. You will review designs and power studies, evaluate vendors and equipment, validate critical infrastructure, define telemetry requirements, troubleshoot operational issues, and provide technical escalation support through deployment and operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in mission-critical facilities or comparable critical infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, power systems, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, batteries, PDUs, RPPs, busway, PSUs, grounding, bonding, and protection systems.
- Experience producing and reviewing electrical designs, studies, equipment specifications, commissioning plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience leading FWTs, FATs, SATs, integrated systems testing, failure-mode testing, and root-cause investigations.
- Understanding of codes, standards, utility coordination, safety requirements, and AHJ processes.
- Ability to evaluate reliability, cost, schedule, constructability, maintainability, and scalability tradeoffs.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-moving environments with incomplete information and changing priorities.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize electrical topologies and equipment strategies.
- Review basis-of-design documents, single-line diagrams, specifications, commissioning plans, and power-system studies.
- Evaluate vendors, manufacturers, consultants, contractors, and test labs.
- Evaluate AC and DC power-distribution options for high-density compute.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support liquid-cooled GPU rack deployments.
- Drive factory, site, reliability, interoperability, and integrated-systems testing.
- Define telemetry and controls requirements.
- Analyze operational incidents and failures to improve designs and reliability models.
- Create engineering standards, test procedures, operating procedures, and risk registers.
- Provide senior technical escalation support throughout deployment and operations.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and their families with employer Health Savings Account contributions.
- Pre-tax Health FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and commuter accounts.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
- Paid parental, medical, and caregiver leave.
- Flexible PTO for exempt employees or up to 15 days annually for non-exempt employees.
- 13+ paid company holidays, paid office closures, and paid sick or safe time.
