About the Role
You will operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair gas turbine generator packages and auxiliaries. You will support turbine start-up and shutdown, perform daily inspections, follow operating procedures and safety requirements, support outages and commissioning, and interpret technical drawings to restore generation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with gas turbines, rotating equipment, or industrial mechanical, electrical, or control systems
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Availability for overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts
- Ability to work in heat, cold, and rain while using PPE in hazardous areas
Responsibilities
- Operate, inspect, and maintain gas turbine generator packages and auxiliaries
- Support turbine start-up, loading, shutdown, cooldown, and turning-gear operations
- Perform daily turbine and package-system inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair turbine-package operational issues
- Repair or replace mechanical, electrical, and controls components
- Maintain and troubleshoot turbine control systems
- Write, follow, and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
- Support scheduled turbine outages and return-to-service
- Support commissioning, functional testing, and turnover monitoring
- Read P&IDs, manuals, schematics, and drawings to restore generation
