About the Role
You will design, program, commission, and maintain balance-of-plant PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems. You will develop control documentation, integrate OEM and third-party systems, test and troubleshoot controls, support operations, manage configurations, and coordinate controls work through construction and turnover.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, controls engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline
- 3+ years of PLC, HMI, or SCADA engineering experience on industrial or power-generation systems
- Work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee
- Be willing to perform hands-on work during outages and commissioning
- Work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Travel to other sites as needed
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission balance-of-plant PLC and HMI systems
- Design and maintain plant SCADA architecture, graphics, alarms, historian, and situational awareness
- Develop control philosophies, narratives, I/O lists, network drawings, cause-and-effect diagrams, and standards
- Specify controls hardware and data exchanges with generation controllers and plant systems
- Program, test, and troubleshoot PLC logic and HMI applications
- Integrate OEM and third-party systems using industrial protocols
- Perform I/O checkout, loop checks, functional testing, HMI validation, alarm rationalization, and start-up support
- Troubleshoot operations issues and implement control changes under MOPs and MOC
- Maintain configuration management and network documentation
- Coordinate controls integration with engineering disciplines and operations
- Apply industrial control and electrical-work standards
