About the Role
You will be the first point of contact for Sierra Leone employees' HR requests. You will compile and maintain employee records, manage HR documentation, ensure compliance with internal policies and Sierra Leone labor law, provide payroll support, coordinate onboarding and offboarding, manage outsourced employees, oversee office administration and logistics, track HR budgets and spending, arrange domestic and international travel, and handle employee relations, complaints, and queries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or professional training in business administration, human resources, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices in Sierra Leone
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally at an international company
- Experience in the financial services sector is an advantage
- Knowledge of HRIS, preferably BambooHR
Responsibilities
- Compile and update employee records
- Manage HR documentation and prepare reports on employee activities
- Ensure HR compliance with internal and country legislation
- Provide supporting data for payroll preparation
- Manage employees outsourced to service providers
- Collaborate with Recruiting, Payroll, Accounting, and Finance for onboarding and offboarding
- Coordinate and oversee office administration and logistics
- Track and report on Sierra Leone human resource budgets
- Oversee and support domestic and international travel arrangements
- Manage employee relations, complaints, and queries
