You will lead hiring from role definition through accepted offer, focusing initially on technical roles. You will source and assess candidates, maintain clear candidate communication, and manage employee lifecycle processes. You will develop practical approaches to performance, feedback, development, policies, people records, and people data.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in talent acquisition, people operations, or a related role
- Experience personally recruiting for technology teams
- Experience sourcing and hiring PhD-level researchers, postdoctoral researchers, research scientists, and specialised engineers
- Ability to understand research profiles, publications, and technical career paths
- Experience owning or building people processes, including onboarding, performance, employee development, or HR operations
- Experience handling sensitive people matters
- Ability to manage multiple searches and people priorities
- Experience building processes for a growing company
Responsibilities
- Own hiring from role definition to accepted offer
- Source and engage researchers and engineers through direct sourcing, referrals, academic networks, conferences, and industry communities
- Partner with founders and hiring managers to define success and assess candidates consistently
- Provide candidates with clear communication throughout the process
- Own onboarding, offboarding, people records, and employee lifecycle processes
- Develop approaches to performance, feedback, development, and manager support
- Maintain people policies and processes
- Use hiring and people data to identify problems, improve processes, and support planning
