About the Role

You will support corporate and intellectual property legal functions across multiple jurisdictions. You will organize and maintain corporate records and the internal file system, assist with agency filings and due diligence, review and prepare standard contracts, manage invoices from outside counsel, and coordinate with litigation counsel on deadlines and matters. You will also assist with M&A, regulatory, commercial transaction, and litigation matters as needed and undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the role.

Requirements

• Four year degree and completion of a paralegal program of study or equivalent knowledge and skill
• Five or more years of experience as a paralegal or equivalent position
• Multi-national corporate experience preferred
• Excellent time task and project management skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong professional writing and communication skills
• Ability to work closely with colleagues and internal stakeholders
• Desire and ability to learn new skills and adapt to new processes and technologies
• Corporate law concepts documents and procedures experience preferred
• Proficiency in internet research and computerised business applications including Microsoft Office Outlook and Excel
• Familiarity with task management systems such as Notion and Slack or equivalents
• Ability to protect company and client confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Process corporate documents and assist with agency filings
• Conduct and organize due diligence investigations
• Review administer and prepare standard contracts
• Track forms and manage standard agreement contracts
• Assist with management of the IP portfolio
• Organize diligence materials for banks regulators and service providers
• Manage invoices from outside counsel and service providers
• Coordinate with litigation counsel for deadline and matter tracking
• Assist with corporate M&A regulatory litigation and intellectual property matters
• Undertake other reasonable duties as needed
