About the Role
You will own drafting, administration, and negotiation of commercial contracts while working closely with Sales, Product, Partnerships, Compliance, Procurement, and Engineering. You will provide product counseling and risk assessments for new features, support contract lifecycle management, respond to day-to-day legal inquiries, and advise on regulatory, data privacy, and cybersecurity matters including GDPR, GLBA, and CCPA/CPRA.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state bar and/or European country
- 3-5 years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department
- Experience supporting a sales organization
- Ability to take ownership and manage projects independently
- Comfort navigating complexity and ambiguity on a lean team
- Ability to work autonomously under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Management, and Procurement to review contractual edits and negotiate deals
- Draft and negotiate NDAs, SaaS agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements
- Provide product counseling and conduct risk assessments for new features and marketing materials
- Support rollout and improvement of contract lifecycle management including templates, workflows, and training materials
- Monitor and respond to day-to-day legal inquiries and handle ad hoc legal projects
- Advise on regulatory, data privacy, and cybersecurity matters including GDPR, GLBA, and CCPA/CPRA
