About the Role
You will support operations and maintenance across turbines, generators, plant systems, and electrical equipment. You will troubleshoot equipment, direct contractors, improve reliability, maintain plans and procedures, manage critical parts and CMMS maintenance programs, support outages and commissioning, use AI tools, and follow field safety practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or another engineering discipline
- 3+ years of operation or maintenance engineering experience in a power plant, generating station, or high-reliability industrial facility
- Ability to perform hands-on work in varied environments, tight quarters, or at heights
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Ability to work on-site at the power generation facility
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Support operation and maintenance of turbines, generators, plant systems, and electrical systems
- Apply knowledge across turbine types to operating and maintenance decisions
- Work flexible shifts to maintain 24/7 engineering coverage
- Troubleshoot trips, alarms, and equipment failures
- Direct contractors and confirm safe, correct completion of work
- Use AI to streamline engineering, operating, and maintenance work
- Lead reliability improvements, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions
- Write and maintain operating, maintenance, switching, and isolation procedures
- Manage the critical-parts list
- Build and maintain CMMS preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Support outages, commissioning, start-up, shutdown, and turnover
- Apply LOTO, arc-flash, confined-space, and hot-work safety standards
