About the Role

You will research, model, prototype, and validate electrical power architectures for high-density AI infrastructure. You will create designs and test plans, evaluate emerging technologies, lead testing, investigate failures, coordinate partners, and document reusable designs for deployment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of electrical engineering, power-system design, data center infrastructure, industrial power, or critical-infrastructure experience
  • Expertise in electrical power distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, protection, UPS systems, generators, and rack-level power delivery
  • Experience developing electrical designs for large, complex, or high-availability facilities
  • Understanding of power-system modeling, short-circuit analysis, load flow, coordination studies, arc-flash analysis, power quality, grounding, and reliability
  • Experience developing testable engineering concepts from evolving requirements
  • Experience designing experiments, prototypes, pilots, or validation programs
  • Ability to work across electrical, mechanical, controls, compute hardware, construction, commissioning, and operations
  • Experience with quantitative analysis, simulation, testing, and field data
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Experience directing consultants, manufacturers, and external technology partners
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical architectures from utility interconnection through rack-level power delivery
  • Translate compute-platform requirements into electrical capacity, topology, protection, and control requirements
  • Create conceptual designs, specifications, diagrams, standards, and reference architectures
  • Model electrical performance, capacity, efficiency, reliability, faults, and transient behavior
  • Evaluate emerging power-distribution, conversion, UPS, energy-storage, generation, and direct-current technologies
  • Develop technical and economic comparisons across design approaches
  • Develop prototypes, test plans, acceptance criteria, and validation frameworks
  • Lead laboratory, factory, pilot-site, and field testing
  • Optimize integrated power and cooling architectures with mechanical and thermal engineers
  • Define instrumentation, telemetry, protection, monitoring, and automated-control requirements
  • Investigate failures and translate findings into design improvements
  • Provide technical direction and design-review leadership

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer Health Savings Account contributions
  • Pre-tax health, dependent care, parking, and transit accounts
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
  • Paid parental, medical, and caregiver leave
  • Flexible or annual paid time off
  • Paid company holidays, office closures, and sick or safe time
  • Mental health and wellness support
  • Employer-paid basic life and disability coverage
  • Daily office meals and eligible meal-delivery credits
  • Relocation support for eligible employees
  • Charitable donation matching and wellness stipends may be provided
