About the Role
You will own end-to-end quality for high-speed interconnect components and assemblies throughout design, qualification, production ramp, and fleet deployment. You will partner with engineering, operations, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to prevent defects, investigate failures, implement corrective actions, and improve manufacturing quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of quality engineering manufacturing quality supplier quality or reliability experience for interconnects or high-speed hardware
- Experience with high-speed copper interconnect products
- Knowledge of 8D 5-Whys Fishbone PFMEA control plans SPC MSA and change control
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings GD&T basics and electrical interface specifications
- Experience driving supplier and contract manufacturer improvements and managing nonconformance workflows
- Experience with cable manufacturing and assembly processes
- Experience with optical interconnects fiber termination quality and contamination control
- Ability to travel internationally and work across time zones
Responsibilities
- Own quality for advanced interconnect components and assemblies
- Drive quality-by-design through design reviews and manufacturing considerations
- Define and track quality and reliability metrics
- Build and execute qualification strategies for cables connectors and patch panels
- Drive ramp readiness through risk assessments pilot learnings and change control
- Manage supplier and contract manufacturer performance
- Improve manufacturing throughput stability and yields
- Lead containment and root-cause investigations
- Own corrective actions using 8D 5-Whys Ishikawa and DOE
- Correlate electrical performance issues with manufacturing and mechanical drivers
- Support rack integration and deployment in lab and data center environments
