About the Role
You will lead and continuously improve site HSE programs, emergency response plans, and safety procedures. You will oversee construction safety, manage permits and contractor compliance, lead incident investigations, maintain regulatory records, and promote a stop-work culture across the site.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive HSE experience on large industrial, power generation, or mission-critical construction projects
- At least 3 years as a senior on-site HSE leader
- CSP, CHST, OHST, or equivalent professional certification
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA 70E, and West Virginia HSE requirements
- Ability to work on-site in Point Pleasant, West Virginia during active construction
Responsibilities
- Lead and improve site HSE, emergency response, and safety programs
- Oversee construction safety activities and permit-to-work systems
- Conduct safety walks, pre-task planning, JHAs, and toolbox talks
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, WVDEP, and local requirements
- Maintain HSE documentation, OSHA logs, postings, and training records
- Pre-qualify contractors and approve site safety plans
- Lead orientations, training, audits, and corrective-action tracking
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Analyze HSE trends and share lessons learned
