About the Role
You will develop, deliver, and improve EHS training for manufacturing, chemical processing, energetic-materials, explosives, hazardous-material, and laboratory operations. You will conduct onboarding and refresher training, create learning materials, assess employee understanding, maintain compliance records, and support inspections, investigations, audits, and emergency preparedness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, industrial safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience; or high school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of progressive EHS, industrial safety, or safety-training experience
- Experience developing and delivering EHS training in a regulated environment
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety requirements
- Experience with hazardous-material safety and regulatory compliance
- Presentation, facilitation, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in classroom and active manufacturing environments
- Ability to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and provide coaching
- Ability to work onsite in Pueblo, Colorado
- Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, certifications, or authorizations
- U.S. export-control and regulatory eligibility
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EHS training programs
- Deliver instructor-led, hands-on, and refresher training
- Conduct new-hire safety orientation and EHS onboarding
- Create training materials, presentations, procedures, job aids, assessments, and learning resources
- Deliver training on OSHA, hazardous materials, explosive safety, emergency response, PPE, hazard communication, lockout/tagout, and confined space
- Develop technical training with subject-matter experts
- Evaluate training effectiveness through observations, assessments, field verification, and coaching
- Conduct or support job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and workplace inspections
- Participate in incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons-learned training
- Maintain training, qualification, certification, and compliance records
- Update training programs for regulatory and operational changes
- Support audits, emergency preparedness, drills, hazardous-material response, and safety initiatives
