About the Role
You will lead, manage, and execute the BSA, AML, CFT, and OFAC programs. You will design and update compliance policies, procedures, and risk assessments; oversee partner bank relationships, transaction monitoring, investigations, SAR and CTR filing decisions, KYC and CIP processes, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, regulatory requests, and board reporting. You will also develop and deliver annual BSA/AML training.
Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in and physically reside in the United States
- 5+ years of direct BSA/AML compliance, financial crime prevention, or MLRO experience at a U.S. financial institution, sponsor bank, or fintech company
- Deep operational knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN rules, OFAC sanctions, and FFIEC exam guidelines
- Experience configuring and working with AML transaction monitoring software, sanctions engines, and case management tools
Responsibilities
- Design and continuously update BSA, AML, and OFAC policies, procedures, and risk assessments
- Act as the primary contact for U.S. partners during AML/BSA audits, compliance reporting, policy approvals, and regulatory reviews
- Oversee transaction monitoring systems and investigate escalated alerts
- Make independent determinations regarding SAR and CTR filings
- Maintain Customer Identification Programs and execute enhanced due diligence on high-risk accounts, PEPs, and complex corporate entities
- Ensure ongoing screening against OFAC, PEP, and global watchlists
- Manage responses to FinCEN 314(a) and 314(b) requests, law enforcement subpoenas, and regulatory inquiries
- Prepare and present BSA program, risk typology, and alert metric updates to the CEO and Board of Directors
- Develop and deliver annual BSA/AML training
