About the Role
You will independently validate transaction-monitoring, customer-risk-assessment, screening, and AI models. You will assess model risk and performance, ensure AML and CFT regulatory compliance, develop monitoring procedures, document findings, collaborate with stakeholders, and improve validation methodologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in model validation, risk management, or a related field
- Knowledge of model risk management regulations, including OCC SR 11-7
- Machine learning and statistical modeling knowledge
- Understanding of fiat and crypto payment flows
- Python, R, or SQL proficiency
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI
- Understanding of financial markets, products, and services
- Written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Validate transaction monitoring, customer risk assessment, screening, and AI models
- Review model documentation, data quality, access, and testing methodologies
- Assess model performance, accuracy, stability, risk, and bias
- Ensure compliance with AML and CFT regulations
- Conduct AML and CFT model risk assessments
- Develop ongoing model monitoring and maintenance procedures
- Track model degradation and conduct regular reviews
- Collaborate with model owners and risk stakeholders
- Prepare model validation, risk assessment, and compliance reports
- Develop model validation methodologies and frameworks
