You will lead systems engineers building shared services for research, training, and production. You will prioritize work, guide distributed-systems architecture, make hands-on contributions, and translate research and training needs into reliable platform primitives and roadmap investments.
Requirements
- Experience building and growing engineering teams
- Distributed-systems engineering experience
- Production system ownership experience
- Strong coding ability
- Distributed systems architecture, service reliability, or container platform expertise
- SLI, SLO, on-call, sharding, replication, coordination, and tail-latency knowledge
- Ability to guide strategy and execution
Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and grow a systems engineering team
- Lead shared-services engineering efforts
- Prioritize work and manage projects
- Guide scalable and reliable distributed-systems architecture
- Contribute targeted hands-on engineering work
- Co-design platform primitives with research and training teams
- Raise technical and execution standards
