About the Role
You will provide hands-on mechanical labor and field support for data center construction and commissioning. You will stage materials, assist trades with installations and equipment sets, maintain orderly work areas, follow safety procedures, report hazards, and support punch-list work through system turnover.
Requirements
- 1+ year of construction, warehouse, manufacturing, mechanical-helper, or equivalent military experience
- Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and on changing construction sites
- Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and material-handling equipment safely
- Willingness to work extended hours, nights, and weekends during critical construction windows
- Ability to travel extensively and remain onsite during peak construction phases
Responsibilities
- Stage, move, and inventory materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist skilled trades with supports, insulation, bolt-up, and mechanical assembly
- Support equipment sets for pumps, cooling towers, and air handlers
- Open and close work areas, remove debris, and segregate scrap
- Fetch tools and materials and stock consumables
- Follow LOTO, PPE, and permit rules
- Report damaged materials, unsafe conditions, and drawing conflicts
- Support punch-list work and cleanup through system turnover
