About the Role
You will lead daily construction activity at data center fit-out sites. You will coordinate trades and vendors, oversee installations, enforce safety and quality requirements, manage materials and schedules, maintain field documentation, resolve site issues, and support commissioning through final handoff.
Requirements
- Data center or mission-critical construction field experience
- Experience supervising crews and vendors on live sites
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, low-voltage, cooling, containment, and cabling systems
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and installation instructions
- 5+ years of construction field experience, including 2+ years as a foreman, lead, or superintendent
- OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it within 90 days
- Familiarity with commissioning and punch-list closeout
- Experience with field reporting and project platforms such as Procore, Smartsheet, MS Project, or Monday.com
- Ability to lift, climb, work at height, and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to travel and work off-hours or weekends when required
Responsibilities
- Lead daily on-site activity across contractors, installers, integration crews, and field-service teams
- Coordinate fit-out installations including racks, power distribution, cabling, cooling, and containment
- Enforce safety requirements, permits, LOTO procedures, and PPE compliance
- Perform quality inspections and drive punch lists to closure
- Coordinate trade access, outage windows, vendor access, and site-rule compliance
- Receive, inspect, stage, and secure owner-furnished equipment
- Track progress against the construction schedule and maintain three-week lookaheads
- Produce daily field reports, redlines, RFI logs, and as-built notes
- Resolve field conflicts and escalate cost, schedule, and safety impacts
- Support commissioning, systems testing, turnover, and final acceptance
