About the Role
You will design humanoid robot components, linkages, and mechanisms using CAD and GD&T. You will select materials and manufacturing methods, lead prototype builds, integrate mechanical components with robotic systems, assess safety risks, perform mechanical testing, and produce manufacturing documentation including drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
Requirements
- Mechanical design knowledge
- Knowledge of statics dynamics and material science
- SolidWorks proficiency
- GD&T knowledge based on ASME Y14.5
- Knowledge of CNC machining 3D printing and injection molding
- Experience building and testing prototypes
- Knowledge of ISO 10218 safety standards
- Risk assessment skills
Responsibilities
- Develop humanoid robot components using CAD and GD&T standards
- Design robotic linkages and mechanisms
- Select materials and manufacturing methods
- Lead prototyping using 3D printing and CNC machining
- Integrate mechanical components into robotic systems
- Conduct risk assessments and apply safety features
- Perform mechanical testing
- Produce drawings specifications and BOMs
