About the Role
You will own mechanical components and assemblies for the robot head from concept through production. You will create CAD models, drawings, specifications, and assembly instructions; support prototypes and validation; and improve manufacturability with cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years of mechanical product development experience with hardware released into high-volume production
- Experience developing automotive consumer electronics robotics or complex electromechanical products
- Proficiency with NX CATIA SolidWorks or Onshape
- Familiarity with ANSYS or equivalent FEA software
- Understanding of injection molding machining casting stamping and additive manufacturing
- Experience with GD&T tolerance analysis DFM and DFA
- Hands-on prototyping testing debugging and product validation experience
- Ability to work full-time onsite in San Carlos CA
Responsibilities
- Design and release mechanical components and assemblies
- Deliver designs meeting structural thermal reliability manufacturability and aesthetic requirements
- Develop CAD models engineering drawings GD&T documentation specifications and assembly instructions
- Support prototype builds integration testing validation and failure analysis
- Implement DFM and DFA practices with Manufacturing and Supply Chain
- Collaborate with Mechanical Electrical Software Industrial Design and Systems Engineering teams
