About the Role
You will lead the design and architecture of complex mechanical systems and components for AI-driven robots. You will own the product lifecycle from concept through production, create and approve detailed models and drawings, validate designs, and work with electrical and software engineers to resolve integration challenges. You will optimize designs for cost, efficiency, scalability, and high-volume manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computational Mechanics, Engineering Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo
- Understanding of mechanical testing and prototyping processes
- Knowledge of material properties, manufacturing methods, and system integration
- Experience taking hardware products from concept to commercial production
- Expert proficiency with CAD and PDM/PLM systems
- Knowledge of mechanical testing, rapid prototyping, reliability engineering, and manufacturing methods
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architectural definition of complex mechanical systems and components
- Create, review, and approve detailed 3D models and technical drawings
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate systems and resolve technical bottlenecks
- Define and oversee mechanical simulations, reliability testing, and performance validation
- Optimize mechanical architectures for cost, efficiency, and mass production
