About the Role
You will lead daily manufacturing and test operations for development programs, low-rate builds, and prototypes. You will supervise technicians, manage equipment, tooling, maintenance, capital investments, and training, improve production performance, lead corrective actions, and coordinate manufacturing execution with engineering, quality, safety, supply chain, and program teams.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
- 8 to 12 years of related professional experience
- Experience leading manufacturing or operations personnel in a DoD or aerospace environment
- Experience supporting development, prototype, low-rate, or first-article builds
- Experience managing facility capital-expenditure planning and execution
- Experience with nonconformance, root cause, corrective action, and material review board processes
- Experience with AS9100, AS9102, or ISO 9001
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's degree in STEM or a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Manage manufacturing and test operations for development programs and prototype fabrication
- Develop manufacturing-readiness roadmaps
- Manage equipment and tooling inventory
- Oversee equipment maintenance, qualification, and requalification
- Own the facility capital-expenditure budget
- Forecast tooling and equipment needs with engineering and program teams
- Supervise, coach, and train technicians
- Improve production performance using quality metrics and trend data
- Lead root cause and corrective action investigations
- Support manufacturing readiness assessments, acceptance reviews, audits, and status reviews
- Coordinate execution with safety, engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain
