About the Role
You will establish and lead a long-range quality strategy and build a Quality Management System toward ISO 9001. You will set quality KPIs, lead root-cause and corrective-action work, manage supplier and customer quality relationships, support audits, and develop the quality team.
Requirements
- 8+ years in quality leadership
- Experience in manufacturing, hardware, or defense and aerospace
- Experience building or scaling a Quality Management System
- ISO 9001 experience
- Experience with root-cause and corrective-action practices
- Experience partnering with Supply Chain and supplier quality engineers
- Ability to operate strategically and on the production floor
- Communication and influence skills across engineering, manufacturing, and executive leadership
Responsibilities
- Own the long-range quality strategy
- Build the Quality Management System and path toward ISO 9001
- Own the audit calendar and use findings as strategic input
- Set and report quality KPIs
- Lead or coach root-cause and corrective-action activities
- Partner with Supply Chain and supplier quality engineers
- Drive supplier qualification, scorecards, and issue resolution
- Serve as the quality point of contact for DCMA surveillance and audits
- Manage and develop the quality team
- Own customer complaints and non-conformances through permanent corrective action
