About the Role

You will develop, validate, document, and improve processes for assembling, aligning, inspecting, testing, and integrating optical hardware. You will create production documentation and tooling, analyze production performance, resolve process issues, establish controls, support suppliers, and help technicians build and troubleshoot optical assemblies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process development, production documentation, root cause analysis, process validation, and continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of optical assembly, alignment, inspection, metrology, precision handling, or optomechanical integration
  • Ability to interpret engineering and optical drawings, bills of material, specifications, test data, and acceptance requirements
  • Data analysis and cross-functional coordination skills
  • U.S. person status or eligibility for required export authorization

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve optical and optomechanical manufacturing processes and documentation
  • Support product introduction, prototype builds, pilot production, and sustaining production
  • Validate methods for optical cleaning, handling, bonding, alignment, inspection, and integration
  • Design and qualify fixtures, tooling, metrology setups, and test equipment
  • Analyze yield, defects, cycle time, and production constraints
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Establish cleanliness, ESD, environmental, calibration, and tool controls
  • Develop technician training and qualification requirements
  • Support supplier reviews, incoming inspection, and process transfers
