About the Role
You will build and lead a Forward Deployed Engineering practice serving strategic customers. You will hire and mentor engineers, oversee customer engagements, review technical solutions, and establish repeatable delivery practices. You will remain hands-on with discovery, prototyping, and debugging when needed, while translating field insights into product improvements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering, solutions architecture, or technical customer-facing experience
- 2+ years of people-management experience in a services, post-sales, or Forward Deployed Engineering organization
- Experience building organizations from zero to one
- Experience with enterprise technical implementations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders and engineers
Responsibilities
- Hire, develop, and retain Forward Deployed Engineers
- Conduct one-to-ones and provide technical mentorship
- Staff and oversee customer engagements
- Qualify and scope engagements during pre-sales
- Review technical architectures and code
- Lead technical discovery, prototype solutions, and debug complex issues
- Build reusable playbooks, repositories, integration templates, and knowledge bases
- Define OKRs and operational cadences
- Translate field insights into product improvements
- Travel to customer sites as needed
