About the Role
You will lead day-to-day environmental health and safety activities at a data center campus. You will oversee regulatory compliance, manage and develop EHS engineers, administer safety programs, deliver training, investigate incidents and near misses, track corrective actions, prepare metrics, coordinate emergency drills, manage the EHS budget, communicate safety alerts, and escalate significant concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in EHS Safety Environmental Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- CSP or ASP certification preferred
- First Aid CPR AED and OSHA 30-hour certification strongly preferred
- 3-6 years of EHS experience
- 2+ years managing EHS programs in an industrial critical facility or logistics environment
- Working knowledge of federal state and local US EHS regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to influence frontline supervisors and operations teams
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary EHS contact for operations
- Develop and implement EHS standards policies and practices
- Manage mentor and develop EHS engineers
- Oversee compliance programs incident investigations and training
- Manage LOTO confined space fall protection hot work HazCom GHS and electrical safety programs
- Oversee hazardous waste stormwater air permit and spill prevention compliance
- Deliver EHS training and toolbox talks
- Maintain training records
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations
- Track corrective actions to closure
- Prepare monthly EHS metrics reports
- Lead emergency action planning and drills
- Coordinate emergency response
- Manage the EHS budget and PPE procurement
- Communicate corrective actions and safety alerts
- Escalate regulatory and safety concerns
