About the Role

Own the end-to-end talent pipeline for Quantitative Engineers and Researchers, partnering with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to develop sophisticated recruiting strategies and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of recruiting experience, including 3+ years focused on Quantitative Engineering, High-Frequency Trading, or Machine Learning talent.
  • Agency specialized-search and in-house startup experience preferred.
  • Strong sourcing skills and a record of converting passive, highly compensated talent into hires.
  • Experience sourcing through math Olympiads, research labs, and diversity-in-STEM academic events.
  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational precision in fast-paced collaborative environments.
  • Ability to discuss C++, Python, NumPy, Pandas, Rust, low-latency systems, and distributed computing.
  • Experience recruiting in the Bay Area or a financial hub, with FinTech and quantitative hedge fund market knowledge.
  • Expertise with Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, Entelo, SeekOut, and GitHub.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with technical and academic candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Own specialized recruiting from sourcing through complex offer negotiations for Quantitative Engineering and Algorithmic Trading roles.
  • Develop recruiting strategies aligned with hiring goals, technical priorities, and performance objectives.
  • Source elite talent through Kaggle, GitHub, ArXiv, competitive programming forums, and quantitative finance conferences.
  • Provide a white-glove candidate experience and prepare candidates for rigorous technical assessments.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand quant stacks, modeling requirements, and performance engineering needs.
  • Lead intake meetings, interview team kick-offs, and technical debriefs.
  • Deliver weekly performance analytics and progress reports to hiring managers and senior leadership.
