About the Role
You will build scalable low and zero GC JVM services and APIs for risk calculations. You will translate risk models into tested implementations, collaborate with quantitative and product stakeholders, optimize existing code, and promote strong engineering practices.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of Java backend engineering experience
- Expert Java proficiency and experience architecting low latency systems
- Knowledge of TDD back testing and stress testing
- Experience with Agile DRY Clean Code API design and microservices
- Experience with Git Docker Kubernetes and GCP
- Understanding of financial products risk models SPAN and VaR
- Exceptional mathematical and analytical skills
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Familiarity with event sourced architectures columnar storage Chronicle Queue or Kotlin is preferred
- Mentoring experience is preferred
