About the Role
Serve as Ramp's first international legal counsel in London, supporting product, regulatory, commercial, employment, corporate, and operational matters for UK and European operations. Advise on payment services, negotiate commercial agreements, support product launches and expansion, build scalable legal processes, and coordinate with external counsel.
Requirements
- Be a qualified attorney authorized to practice in the United Kingdom
- Have substantial in-house or law-firm experience supporting regulated financial-services businesses
- Possess working knowledge of United Kingdom and European Union payments, e-money, financial-services, and technology requirements
- Advise cross-functionally on product, commercial, corporate, employment, and operational matters
- Demonstrate drafting, negotiation, stakeholder-management, and project-management skills
Responsibilities
- Advise on legal and regulatory matters across UK and EU financial technology operations
- Negotiate and draft commercial agreements, bank-partner arrangements, and customer-facing terms
- Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Marketing to structure and launch products, payment flows, and market expansions
- Build scalable legal processes, templates, training, and issue-escalation frameworks
- Support entity formation, governance, local hiring, employment matters, and external-counsel coordination
