About the Role
You will support environmental and stress testing, failure analysis, reliability assessment, design reviews, and corrective actions for aircraft hardware. You will analyze test and field data, use tools such as Python, collaborate across engineering and manufacturing, and occasionally travel to support testing or suppliers. You will own a project with guidance from a senior engineer.
Requirements
- Completion of at least the second year of a relevant engineering degree
- Technical fundamentals
- Experience on an engineering team or club
- Experience with electrical design software and tools such as Altium, KiCAD, and oscilloscopes
- Project ownership and delivery experience
Responsibilities
- Support environmental and stress testing to validate hardware reliability
- Assist with failure analysis and root-cause investigations
- Analyze test results and field data to identify failure modes and reliability risks
- Collaborate on design-for-reliability practices and design reviews
- Support corrective actions and process improvements
- Review materials, manufacturing processes, and component selections for reliability
- Use data-analysis tools to support reliability assessments and reporting
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supplier stakeholders
- Travel occasionally to support testing or supplier engagements
- Own a project tailored to the co-op start date, duration, and location
