About the Role
You will travel between construction sites to install, terminate, test, and commission 480 V electrical systems. You will interpret drawings, produce records, follow electrical and safety requirements, support project commissioning, coordinate with project partners, and provide field feedback on designs.
Requirements
- Current state journeyman electrician license or equivalent license with ability to obtain a Tennessee or Mississippi license
- 5+ years of industrial or data-center electrical construction experience installing 480 V equipment
- 480 V equipment installation, termination, and torque experience
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, one-line diagrams, and schematics
- Proficiency with multimeters, meggers, and torque wrenches
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout
- Ability to travel 80% or more on a construction rotation
- Ability to perform physical work in industrial environments
Responsibilities
- Travel to project sites to install, terminate, and test 480 V electrical systems
- Install, terminate, torque, and dress 480 V distribution equipment and feeders
- Install grounding and bonding systems according to drawings and the NEC
- Support commissioning, testing, and first energization of 480 V systems
- Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, one-line diagrams, and specifications
- Produce as-built drawings and test records
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and arc-flash protocols
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and operations teams
- Participate in constructability reviews and provide field feedback
- Mobilize between project locations as priorities change
