About the Role

You will support the team in company evaluation, formulating investment theses via market research, and be involved in overall investment management. You'll work on sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and executing investment transactions within the technology and alternative lending industries, while collaborating with legal, financial, and other consultants on fundraising, deals, and startup advisory. You'll also contribute to the development of Helicap's technology and analytics platform and participate in business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial, and enjoys a startup culture
  • Open-minded, curious, and willing to learn
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in financial analysis and Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint / Word
  • Programming knowledge and skills is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, structure and execute investment transactions within technology and alternative lending industries
  • Strategize and develop investment thesis on potential opportunities
  • Prepare investment slide decks and financial modeling of private credit opportunities
  • Present and market investment proposals to senior management, investors, and business partners
  • Work with legal, financial, and other consultants on fundraising, deals and startup advisory
  • Continuously manage private debt / venture debt / venture capital investments, forecasting and monitoring financial returns
  • Contribute to the development of Helicap's technology and analytics platform
  • Participate in business development initiatives within Helicap and portfolio companies
  • Assist with business development, events, and other commercial activities
