About the Role
You will build metallurgical and mechanical knowledge to support standardized qualification of the WAAM process. You will conduct literature research, perform Thermo-Calc calculations, analyse metallographic and materials-property data, study degradation mechanisms, and contribute to technical qualification documentation.
Requirements
- Be in the final year of an engineering degree or a Master 2 program
- Specialize in materials or mechanics
- Have knowledge of materials science or mechanics
- Demonstrate interest in additive manufacturing processes
- Have technical-results analysis skills
- Speak operational English
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature research on materials produced through WAAM additive manufacturing
- Perform thermodynamic calculations with Thermo-Calc
- Analyse metallographic characterization results
- Synthesize results on the effects of heat treatments on microstructure
- Collect, structure, and analyse mechanical and physical property data
- Study fatigue, corrosion, cavitation, and thermal aging mechanisms
- Contribute to technical qualification documentation
- Consolidate material feedback
